Can't add to the shopping cart

The Easy Way

The solution we tell all of our customers now is to use another browser than the one you are using now. Install either Firefox or Google Chrome . You'll obtain frequent security updates and these browsers are not deeply tied to Windows operating systems. In other words, they are very easy to install and maintain. Click on the links within this paragraph or if you already have Google Chrome or Firefox, fire up your other browser now. Happy Browsing.

The harder way

You must allow the acceptance of a cookie file on your computer if you wish to do more than browse on our website. A cookie is a small file that sits on your computer. It is a little file that can do nothing on it's own.

Cookies have gotten a bad wrap over the years due to some unscrupulous website owners that have abused this service. I assure you that Educational Accents prides ourselves on our reputation and we won't put anything more than necessary in your cookie to allow you to use our shopping cart for purchases. Cookies are safe and your browser vendor has added security controls over the years to restrict their abuse. It has very tight restrictions on what a website can "see" on your computer. On the highest security setting, it renders any website shopping cart completely inoperable including Educational Accents.

Internet Explorer Browser

To change your security settings on Internet Explorer, you will need to do the following: Starting at the top of your browser Click on the following:

Firefox Browser Help

Anti-Virus Protection and Identity Protection

If this wasn't complicated enough, we also need to be concerned about your identity protection that can also restrict cookies from being added to your computer as part of a anti-virus suite of products that can block these cookies. You can add us to the safe websites to allow these cookies. Common anti-virus suite products include Symantec and Mcafee that offer this level of protection.

Cookie Cop from PC Magazine

Another source of cookie blocking is from products such as Cookie Cop. Cookie is a third party shareware product that allows a user to block those annoying cookies for select sites. The default setting can be set very high to block all cookies except for selected sites. This can be another area of concern. You'll likely need to contact the person that setup this product to allow our site to set a cookie on your computer. There may be other products like this that are working quietly on your task bar to help "protect" your computer.

Other Browser and Cookie Suppression

If you are using another browser besides the ones listed, the settings will differ but the tech savvy person that set your original settings should be able to relax your browser to accept our cookies.

Once you have altered your privacy settings as it relates to our website, please go ahead and go through the steps of adding your book to the shopping cart.

Thank you for looking at Educational Accents. If after trying to resolve this issue, you are still unable to add to your shopping cart, please email us and we will attempt to complete your order with other means. You can contact us at the email us your list of books that you wish to purchase and we'll work to complete your order.
